Hybrid workshop on climate change and simulation of its scenarios using En-ROADS tools

On November 22, 2022, a hybrid workshop was held for two hours about climate change and the world climate change simulation program that is on the Climate Interactive website and is known as En-ROADS so that those interested in the environment, climate change, sustainable development, and climate change simulation will benefit from its contents with the participation of more than 15 in-person participants and more than 45 participants in Google Meet and more than 50 viewers from the YouTube channel of Near East University, consisting of graduate students, lecturers, and other interested parties. In this workshop, first, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Gökçekuş (Dean of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering) was talking about climate change and the importance of its modeling. Then, Farhad Bolouri presented the general principles of working with the En-ROADS tool to model climate changes and receive different outputs from it. Attendees had a laptop with them to do their modeling in the workshop. It should be noted that Farhad Bolouri (Doctoral Research Assistant; Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering) completed the En-ROADS facilitation course online and virtually, from the website Climate Interactive, which is sponsored by MIT University. This workshop was related to the SDG13 (Climate Action).

Participation in this workshop was open to the public and free of charge. You can also watch this workshop from the following link:
